Theory on soft harsh line fibonacci and run away slaves

Image result for fibonacci sequence in art
Fibonacci Sequence is a good way of working out whether a composition works or not however if your work doesn't fit into the sequence it doesn't make it a bad composition. Soft lines are used to create ideals of soft, submissive and femininity while hard lines show control, power and masculinity.  (Cromer 1990)

A great example of the use of the Fibonacci sequence and using soft lines to dictate submissiveness is the painting the hunted slaves by Richard Ansdell 1861
